Don’t call it a comeback!
Following Monday’s release of her newest collaborative effort with Miguel “#Beautiful” (Yes, the hashtag IS a part of the official title!), Mariah Carey premiered the single’s new video tonight on American Idol. Written by Miguel, Carey, Nathan Perez and Brook Davis with additional production credits by Happy Perez, “#Beautiful” signifies a true return to form for Mariah following the release of “Triumphant” which left many disappointed. The video was directed by Joseph Kahn and fits perfectly with the visuals evoked from the lyrics and instrumentation through its depiction of Mariah and Miguel’s infatuation on a breezy summer day. With #Beautiful as the expected lead single from Mariah’s anticipated fourteenth studio album, it is exciting to see what will come next.
