Summer is here and the pools are open. Here’s June’s fitness challenge and diet suggestions:
- 50-100 ab exercises Monday-Thursday
- 50-100 pushups 2 days per week
- 10 lunges on each leg before EVERY shower
- Run 2 sets of 5-10 flights of stairs at your local track twice a week (30min) with 40 pushups in between sets(10min break)
- Each weekend find a very active activity to participate in. One week could be swimming laps at your local pool, another week could be beach volleyball, another could be a a 5k or more run, etc…
Involving friends and family enhances motivation and fun!
When eating out with a group, order one desert to share amongst a few people. You still get to eat desert, but just in a smaller calorie controlled portion.
After every workout, eat a salad(small, medium, or large). Vegetables partner very well with your already active muscles to burn more fat post-workout.
As always, drink tons of water! Water also aids into weight loss in addition to keeping you hydrated.
