Raheem-DeVaughn-Trigga-Man-Trayvon-Martin-Tribute

Raheem-DeVaughn-Trigga-Man-Trayvon-Martin-TributeIt has only been 2 days since George Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges in the shooting death of 17-year old Trayvon Martin but based upon the constant out pour of emotion on social media, you would never be able to tell. The issue is has not only ignited people to put their feelings in to words but also into action as once again, peaceful protests begin to sweep the nation. However, this time in addition to “peace” people are also preaching the message of “organization and precision”.

Even Beyonce (who is currently on her North American Leg of The Mrs. Carter Tour) took a moment to honor Trayvon’s life while performing in Nashville. After asking the audience for a moment of silence, she performed a brief section of  I Will Always Love You before performing her hit Halo.

Check out the tribute below:

And today, adding to the continued amount of support, Raheem Devaugh & Styles P teamed up to release Trigga Man. The song opens  with the infamous clip of President Barack Obama stating that if he had a son “he’d look like Trayvon”. Additionally, the song ends with footage discussing the Jordan Davis case (which has striking similarities) Jordan Davis was also a 17-year unarmed teenager who was shot and killed in Florida by a man named Michael Dunn. He was killed over loud music. Dunn has since plead “Not Guilty” to the charges citing self-defense. Fortunately, there were witnesses who could potentially provide more evidence to support the prosecution’s case against him.
