Janelle Monae has not only lent her voice to the animated movie Rio 2, but also has lent her ‘electric’ vocals to it’s soundtrack. The song titled “What is love?” is featured on the movie’s soundtrack and will be performed by Janelle live on American Idol on March 27th. Rio 2 hits theaters Aprill 11th, with it’s soundtrack hitting stores on March 25th. The soundtrack also features contributions from Bruno Mars, B.O.B, and Ester Dean.
