Election Day is right around the corner and Rock the Vote has brought us another entertaining promotional video! Celebrities are sending a resonating message to the public about their reasons for turning out at the polls.
Actors like Lena Dunham and Lil’ Jon are seen in the video siting reasons such as the legalization of marijuana and reproductive rights for why they’ll be at the voting booth in November.
This is one of many voter engagement promotions that Rock the Vote has put out there since they started in 1990. They’ve used entertainment and technology to energize the young population. They made a large impact during the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections, organizing voter registration drives nationwide and developing online voting systems to make voting more convenient for the young generation that traditionally had not voted in past elections.
So, in true Rock the Vote style……Turnout for WHAT?!
