Many of us enjoy singing at the top of our lungs to hits from our favorite music icons. And whether we’re singing off key(very likely) or in perfect harmony, there’s something very special about those moments in a room full of strangers, and friends alike, that brings you together. This Wednesday, you have the opportunity to indulge in some of that random fun while also giving back to the community!
Tomorrow marks the third Karaoke for a Cause event. It’s a night of fun-filled memories, endless singing, dancing, and cocktails. The event was started by some of the DMV’s young professionals who share the common interest in serving their local communities and having fun doing it. They kicked off their first Karaoke for a Cause in 2011, in which they collected enough to send over 300 toys to children. This year, they hope to send many more! This is where you come in….. Admission to the event is $20 or an unopened toy….toys that, for some of these children, may be the only gifts they receive this holiday season.
So get in the spirit of giving tomorrow night!! Karaoke for a Cause is held at Liv Nightclub, located at 2001 11th St. NW from 6:30pm-10:30pm.
