The Experience
No matter where you might find yourself, happy hour is always welcome…
Upon recommendation, I decided to meet up with a friend (while in Lansing, Michigan) for drinks and quick bites. While I had visited and heard of Houlihan’s in other locations, it became clear that each one truly possesses its own personality. Nestled in between the shops and other restaurants in Lansing Mall,this particular location boasts a young, vibrant and energetic crowd during its happy hour. While it had the ability to become a bit loud at times, I never felt as though it was interruptive to my conversation and towards the end of the evening it began to calm down which spoke to its ability to transform into a calmer setting. In fact, the bar is separate from the restaurant which I found to be a clever way of maintaining a family friendly environment for those who weren’t looking to engage bar patrons. Overall, I was pleased with the quality of my food and drinks but more importantly with the service provided on behalf of the servers, bartenders and host who all maintained a friendly and inviting demeanor throughout the evening.
